Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description:
The position is for a safe and reliable heavy equipment operator who will need to operate various types of equipment productively and efficiently. This job could require pushing, compacting, grading, trenching, backfilling, excavating, R&Rs, demolitions, loading/hauling debris and high volumes of trucks.

Operator Responsibilities:

• Proficiently operate heavy equipment, which include Excavators and Loaders of various sizes and numerous attachments.
• Perform job responsibilities safely in a sometimes-busy environment, operating around trucks and personnel.
• Operate equipment productively for 10+ hours per day, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions.
• May be required to work weekends.
• Help laborers with cleaning and picking up debris, when necessary.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid CA Commercial Driver's License.
• Transportation. (Job sites are in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Clarita counties)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, inspectors, employees and office staff.
• Ability to manage and complete a job without supervision.
